7. Dissociation

...

Back in my "hometown"
the city of Quotidia
a place I don’t regard as my home

and I’d like to alter the old saying
"You can’t go home again"
to read
"I don’t want to go home again"

Trompe l'oeil people watching
A shaman on TV.
Tabernacle choiring
Sung in the quay of sea.

Astigmatics leading,
Eyeglasses stained by church.
Who’s to say whom God loves
Or leaves when in the lurch.

Hair entwined in vine leaves
Clogs up the kitchen drain.
Are umbrellas good for
Radioactive rain?
