Synopsis A man and a woman, once romantically involved, meet again for
drinks. During the course of their conversation, they talk about his
off-off-Broadway to on-Broadway directing career and his success, and her
search for self that took her to Europe and far from him--in many ways. She
intimates a sex-change operation. But now she is back, and is trying to find
out if things might work out again. He mentions a desire to reproduce, and
she says it'll never happen, but he thinks it might-he's been seeing a
woman. He thinks she pressured him into being gay when they were together,
but now he's not so sure. She says, "If you're changing preferences, then
I've changed in the right direction." But he asks if she can get pregnant,
and she admits that she cannot. The conversation ends abruptly with "It was
   great to see you again."
